Run run run..

It’s been a month since I stopped working and I’ve been staying at home most of the time except weekends. I’ll be back for work on June in Preschool.
No income at all, only household income according to my sister since I’m doing a lot of household chores from cleaning; laundry; interior; and my most favorite… cooking.. sarap.. soups, pesto, panna cotta, and a lot more, so is eating as well. Kaya naman, I need to lose those excess calories intake and meron solution dyan.

Last April 18, I joined the NatGeo run for 5K and it was fun. I thought I would not be able to do it pero nakaya khit unang sabak… Super sarap ng feeling.. Now, me and my nieces are jogging 3 times a week.. We run for at least 1 hour continously until our shirts are wet and our faces become so red. Since I’m into running now, I will run 5K again on Filipino Star Ngayon event and then 10K is my next goal on Nature Valley run for a cause. Adik ng tumakbo..kaya excited na ko.

I know pagdating ng June, everyone will become busier again kaya habang vacation.. enjoy enjoy lng… I’m still thinking about my MA… I hope I could enroll this time. Yesterday, I met some of my HS friends.. most of them are married already and have children, and of course, they didn’t forget to ask the question  "Why are you not getting married? Mag- asawa ka na…"  I was thinking… am I too old?? or they were too young when they got married. Hahaha… sabi ko nga, "OO magpapakasal din naman ako… wait lng kayo ah…" kaya sa mga katulad ko na malapit na sa last number ng calendar.. don’t worry.. artistahin tayo… it will be just a surprise… ska no need to hurry as long na meron naman plans and very good ang relationship no worries.

For now, run the good race….
Life is short so make it all yours
Have fun with family and friends

Try the craziest and scariest
Go to some never been before places
To bring out the happiest moments.

Run run run run… ellen runn…

Living healthy

Still Alive

It has been years… my mind has been lethargic for this so called blogging until a coffee session with my boyfriend and some of our friends awaken my passion to write again. They didn’t actually know that I’ve been a blogger way way back before this so called blogs become ubiquitous on the net; poet on my own and frustrated novelist. Now, consider me a netizen but I really don’t write like before though I’m still a reader but so little to put my thoughts into writing nowadays. I guess, I couldn’t say I didn’t have time because if you are bound to do something, you make your own time. No matter how busy I would be if I really want to blog, I could still do it but that didn’t happen. Hahahahhaa.. I enjoyed my life but I really miss my spaces… I didn’t care if anyone would read my pieces because I write not to please anyone, I write because that’s my passion and if anyone could benefit from that in anyway, well then, that’s good. Hahahaha..

I don’t know if I could still make beautiful lines.. but still hoping, it would just spark anytime. I really miss Piece16 because so busy with FB. Now, let’s see if there would be next to this.

Still a daysleeper ^+^

Chin cupping, I ponder!

Time is fast like a wink, like an inhale of breath
I never noticed what is happening that I am still fast walking
Every morning of daydreaming, my eyes are well smiling

I have a blue sky above and fresh scent of green grass
Here in paradise, I will stop a while.

The Five Love Languages of Children

According to the authors, each child expresses and receives love through one of five different communication styles. A parent’s love language may be totally different from that of his or her child, which causes hurt feelings and misunderstandings. With the help of this book, adults can discover their child’s primary language and learn what they can do to effectively convey unconditional feelings of respect, affection, and commitment that will resonate in their child’s emotions and behavior.

http://www.amazon.com/Five-Love-Languages-Children/dp/1881273652#

January 30, 2009 when I dropped by in Powerbooks, Megamall and while browsing for some good books, this book simply captured my attention. I was taking my Assessment subject then so when I flipped over the pages I knew that this book will be one of my serendipitous purchases, just like when my friend Marv told me to choose one book and he’ll pay for it, I immediately walked through the halls of shelves in National Bookstore, Ermita until I saw the Multiple Intelligences of Dr. Howard Gardner and just by reading the title I knew that was the book of my choice then. Definitely not my genre that time but I want something very informative so I told myself why not? The book I possessed five years ago just paid off now because it became one of the core foundations in me as a future educator.

Now, another one great book to recommend for everyone; The Five Love Languages of Children, I just loved this book so much… believe me if you are a parent, you need to read this one. Love is the manifestation of God’s grace to us, unmerited favor, communicated in the life of Christ and written in the Holy Bible. The purpose of this book is for us to better understand the child and the love language/s he mostly used to convey to us teachers, parents, guardian and anyone who is looking after a child. What is love language anyway? It is usually what the child answers when he is asked, “Does your parent love you? How?” as illustrated in this book.

These are the five love languages of children:

Physical Touch

Words of Affirmation

Gift

Quality Time

Acts of Service

Every child has a primary love language to communicate his affection to his parents, siblings, or even the people who surrounds him. It is very essential to every parent to know that language so the child’s emotional tank will be filled from time to time. The 5 love languages may be present at a particular time and stages of growth of children but there will be a primary love language that will outstand the rest.

I love this book so much because I have came to know my primary love language. Mine is “Words of Affirmation” that is why I hate people who are inevitably liars and I get devastated to some broken promises.

Loving our children isn’t always enough. Learning to speak their love language communicates your love in ways they’ll understand right from the start.

Unconditional love is something all children can understand. And The Five Love Languages of Children can help you make your child feel secure, loved and more willing and open to interact with you and your family.
